History: That very first day that Dyrk joined the ranks of students attending Aegnor he met a another student. One young man named Sorne Flint. Dyrk, decidedly angry with his mother at the time, took a shining to the other boy. Instead of responding to any angry words with more angry words, he responded with welcoming tones and smiles. He managed to break Sorne down and become his friend after they realized that they shared one very key interest: dueling. Sorne is Dyrk's toughest, and best, opponent. In fact, at times he's let himself use two abilities just to counter the speed at which Sorne's sends his flames. Their rivalry got to such a point that they ended up trying to surprise one another with attacks; they made a game out of it and it continues to the present day.
What do you think of Sorne? "Sorne was the first real friend I made outside of my family. He is probably one of the only two people I count as incredibly important to me. Not that I'd ever let him know that, he'd never let me live such thoughts down. Our crazy power struggle is beyond fun and I'll never tire of it, even when I'm an old, graying man. I swear, on my deathbed I'm gonna search him out and see if I can't surprise him with an attack one last time. Sorne himself is an amazing duelist. Ok, so he's set the curtains on fire several times, but I can handle it. Besides, I would be just as bad, or worse than him if it weren't for my mother's strict training regime. I don't know who I'd be if I hadn't met moody little Sorne that first day of school."

History: Once upon a time an innocent little girl agreed to go and meet her new friend's brother. This new friend of hers was a girl named Dulais. And they were going to sneak into the Fingolfen commons so Dulais could see her brother, Dyrk. Well, it all went perfectly, as planned; Dyrk let them in the door and snuck them up to the boys' dormitory. It wasn't until this innocent child met another boy, an evil boy, that things went to hell. This boy's name was Sorne Flint. The moment Dovabelle met him, she did not find him all that particularly evil or interesting. In fact, she found the boy's dormitory to not be to her liking. She happened to mention this in a passing comment that the Sorne boy overheard. He took this as a challenge and made Dovabelle's stay in the Fingolfen boys' dorm a hellish experience. After he set the curtains on fire, she dragged Dulais out of there and back to the relative safety of their own dormitory. Of course, that was only the beginning of poor, precious Dovabelle's life with the evil demon child. Sorne tortured the dear heroine with feats of his superiority. But Dovabelle persevered, brushing off his feats with scorn and derision. However, when Sorne boasted about his dueling accomplishments, she never could help but snap back at him. Which would lead to hateful arguments. Which, inevitably lead to the demon boy trying to seduce the heroine into joining the dueling club. To this day, she has survived his taunting cruelty.
What do you think of Sorne? "What is there to think about a boy who is all bark and no bite? He taunts and taunts, but he will never get anything from me. I'm sure every generation has an egotistical fool, but why did I have to be saddled with him in this generation? He really is too much! He flaunts his power, which I find ridiculous and in poor taste. One of these days, he's going to lose his temper and seriously harm someone. Where will he be then? He never sits down to properly study, the only way I can understand his passing each grade is that he's cheating off of Dyrk, who lets him get away with far too much. If he'd just settle down and actually make something of himself rather than risking his life in duels, he would make quite a fetching catch. As much as I hate to admit it, the boy is rather handsome. Although if you ever, ever tell him I said that, I will hurt you."
