History: Sorne ran into Dovabelle shortly after she first began her eight year stay at Aegnor, and has intensely disliked her ever since. Dovabelle had been hanging around Dyrk's little sister and they had both come to visit the boys in their dorm. Sorne had been lounging about, bemoaning the tedium of studying, and Dovabelle had coolly commented that she preferred the quiet of the library to the raucous room of the Fingolfen boys. She had meant nothing by it, but Sorne had seen it as a challenge of his hospitality and the whole evening had ended in a shouting match and the dorm curtains being inadvertently set on fire. Dyrk put the fire out easily, and that may have been the end of everything right there if it hadn't been for the nagging (to Sorne at least) fact that Dovabelle had quite clearly won the argument. Sorne's failure to defend himself verbally not only from a girl but from a younger girl fueled his fire against Dovabelle. From that day forward, every triumph in Sorne's life, no matter how minuscule, was thrust into Dovabelle's face. Every decent grade on a test, every romantic conquest, every successful duel; each and every one was boasted about endlessly. Each and every one also led to another verbal fight, especially when the boasted success had to do with dueling club. Sorne has tried and failed countless times to taunt Dovabelle into a duel with him, but every single time she has refused scornfully.
What do you think of Your Dovabelle? "There are some people in this world who were put here for the sole purpose of bugging the hell out of everybody else around them. Dear Miss Morningstar is undoubtedly the paragon of such people. For five years now that girl has been the stubborn thorn in my side, and there are no signs of change in the near future. That wouldn't be such a great big deal if it weren't for the fact that she doesn't even deserve my attention. I mean, really! She and Dulais are just about the most boring people in this entire school. Morningstar can bend metal to her will and what does she do? She makes trinkets. She makes boring little baubles and spends the rest of her time moping around the library. She won't even join a proper duel, and lord knows I've tried to rope her into one of those at least once a day. It's such a waste, you know? I hate to admit it, but the kid's got potential. How else would she be able to almost keep up with me? Plus, she's got a nice face. If it weren't for the cold steel personality beneath it, I might even say she'd be a catch.

History: When she first entered the cavernous halls of Aegnor, Dulais was convinced that she would be utterly and completely miserable and friendless. She at least had her brother, but she felt so timid and overwhelmed that she was sure that she would never make any new friends. Within minutes, though, she was relieved of these fears by the kind and smiling face of Dovabelle. Instead of frightening her away, Dulais shy nature seemed to attract Dovabelle to her. The intelligence and warmth of the other girl made Dulais warm up to her immediately, and she happily accepted Dovabelle's friendship and returned it in kind. Since then she has always come to Dovabelle with any problems, knowing that she could trust her friend to the ends of the earth.
What do you think of Dovabelle? "I know I'm not the kind of person to make friends with every passing stranger, but the one thing I can say about my friendships is that they are all more than I could have ever hoped for. Dovabelle is the perfect example of this. I was absolutely mortified of having to share a dormitory room with a bunch of strangers, but Dovabelle jumped right in and proved that I had nothing to worry about. Since the first day we met she's always been there for me, caring and compassionate, ready to help me with anything I need at a moment's notice. Sometimes I feel I'm more of a burden than a friend, but she keeps telling me that's not true so I guess I'll have to believe her. It's so nice having somebody who cares so much about me, and who I care so much about, close to me at school."

History: When they first met, Dove and June didn't really get along that well- but after they began to understand each other they soon became close friends. They also connect well thanks to the fact they have the same elements.
