History: Dulais and Dyrk are brother and sister, and only a year apart. Because of this, for Dulais' first few years in the world she had only Dyrk and her parents. Since her mother and father were both always busy with work, she came to grow extremely close to her older brother and depend on him for support. As they got older, they both helped to take care of their younger siblings together, strengthening the bond they had formed. When Dyrk went to Aegnor the year before Dulais was the correct age to attend, she was absolutely brokenhearted. She moped around the house for most of the year, skillfully avoiding her mother's attempts to give her lessons at home, and spent most of her time making candies for her younger siblings, who were also missing Dyrk. Once she was able to start at Aegnor, she spent a lot of her time with her older brother, who luckily didn't feel weird about hanging around his little sister, and he is her best friend at school.
What do you think of Dyrk? "Dyrk looks out for me, which make him irreplaceable since I'm not always so good at looking out for myself. It surprises some people that we are so close, seeing as his nature is primarily volatile and mine is peaceful. However, I find this only helps us to get along. It is almost as if we complete each other. He keeps me from being a complete pushover and I help him to calm down when somebody gets him riled up. I'm completely fascinated by his powers, and the amazingly inventive ways he finds to use them, but I sometimes wish he would be a little more practical with what he can do. He's a champion in the dueling club, but I've never really seen the use for such talents outside of school. I have complete faith in Dyrk, though, and whatever it is he wants to do with his life, I have no doubts that he will find a way to do it. I love my brother, and I think he is one of the few things that I would really fight to keep."

History: Sorne met Dyrk on their first day at school, and was all ready to be petty and jealous towards the already powerful ultimate. However Dyrk's unwavering warmth, and the fact that he and Sorne just had far too many interests in common, made it impossible for Sorne to be anything but best friends with his roommate. They made a solemn pact to never let their friendship mess with their membership in dueling club, so they never go easy on each other. In fact, they're almost constantly in battle with each other, making a game out of trying to surprise attack each other without being caught.
What do you think of Dyrk? "Okay, so I have this huge soft spot for Ultimates now, and I have to admit that I owe that in a large part to my buddy Dyrk. See, Dyrk's an Ultimate. And I mean an ultimate Ultimate. Even his old lady can't hold a candle to his skills, and I should know! I swear, I've been on the receiving end of a fire tornado just a few more times than I'd like to be and I can tell you from experience that messing with Dyrk is never a good idea. On top of being almost as powerful as I am - well, okay, he's a little bit more powerful, but don't tell him I said so or I'll never hear the end of it - he's also one of the most laid-back and loyal guys I've ever run into. I'll be the first one to say that I'm not a real big friend guy, so it's kind of a big thing for me to say that Dyrk's my best. And he is."

History: It pretty much all started when June got into a fight with a guy that she physically could not handle. He had an advantage over her because she didn't have any metal with her, so she was screwed until suddenly Dyrk happened to walk on by. With that undeniable urge the teenager seemed to have, he protected June and the other guy ran away- but instead of being thankful June was pretty much pissed. Being the typical rude and crass person she was, June told him off and then walked away. Their next meeting was a little more plesant, but with the same negative results. He tried to make friends, but June just wouldn't have any of it. Although seeming oddly persistent and interested in her refusal of being accquainted with him, Dyrk continued to meet and talk with her until she finally gave in a little bit. She's now started a new game, attempting to make him angry at her so he'll go away.
What do you think of Dyrk? "Ew, stupid ultimate. What's with his hair? ... Anyways, I guess you could say he's nice. He seems a little uptight though, maybe he needs to get laid or something."

History: Guinevere knew all about the Ultimate that was a few years older than her. After all, he was her best firend's older brother. Of course, when they met face-to-face for the first time, she had assumed that he knew who she was. They were both in the dueling club, and, when Dyrk challenged her, she accepted. Obviously, she lost, after she blew up and flooded everything in her frustration -- she did not have as much control as she did now. When Dyrk offered to help her get stronger, she gladly accepted, though they don't often meet outside of the club.
What do you think of Dyrk? "Even if Dyrk is insanely protective of Dulais, he's not a bad guy. Honestly, I think he's rather cute -- tell anyone and you'll be blasted into oblivion, got that? Dyrk is strong, though. I wish I could beat him, but I probably won't. Even if he is helping me out, he's just out of my league. I guess I'll have to keep working. That guy's really trustworthy, though. I can see why Dulais can depend on him."
